Conference on Tibetan Buddhism in Europe

With the presence of His Holiness The Dalai Lama

In august 2005, His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama gave during one week commentaries on two Indian texts of the 8th century, "the Way of the Bodhisattvas" (skt. Bodhicharyavatara) of Shantidéva and "Stages of Meditation" (skt. Bavanakrama) of Kamalashila in front of about 10000 people. His Holiness also conferred initiations of Tchènrézi, of Guru Rinpoche and of White Tara.

Separately from this event, a conference about the futur of tibetan buddhism in Europe took place in Zurich with the presence of His Holiness The Dalai Lama, Sogyal Rinpoche, Chökling Jigme Palden Rinpoche, Namkha Rinpoche and other persons in charge of tibetan buddhism.
